Leza McLeod started training as a goldsmith in the summer of her nineteenth year. It was a natural progression from years of doodling, painting and drawing to working with her hands. She served her apprenticeship under not one, but two journeymen, the precisely talented Mark Whitehorn and the talentedly precise Francois de Villiers.

With more than 30 years experience as a goldsmith, Leza was lucky enough to have been exposed to all types of jewellery projects. Years specialising in antique reproduction has taught her the finest level of detail which carries through to all her pieces. Leza can create a classic piece or realise a more contemporary design, always working closely with her clients at every step.

In 2003 Leza opened Elemental Studio and in 2006 she decided to start a jewellery-making school in order to pass on her knowledge and help people explore their own creativity. (The school is still running so please enquire about space available.) Please click here to visit the school.
